The DC motor for rolling mills is manufactured in accordance with the national standard “Motors for Auxiliary Drives of Rolling Mills” and plays a critical role in the steel industry. This motor is designed to operate in harsh environments, capable of withstanding frequent starts, reversible braking, and high repetitive overload torque. Primary applications include work roller tables, pressing devices, loop tension rollers, shears, tongs, and crane mechanisms.

Notes:
1. The 802 frame number comes in three specifications: the motor installation dimensions are identical, but the electromagnetic design varies.
2. Frame numbers 820, 822, and 824 refer to prototype product specifications.
3. To achieve the speed regulation range of the motor, a small number of series winding turns is permitted.
4. The voltage of any motor in this series can be made as 220V or 440V. However, for separately excited and shunt excited motors, the voltage is 220V. Intermittent periodic duty (S3) indicates that within a 5-minute cycle, the load time is 1.5 minutes, and the non-energized time is 3.5 minutes. However, the excitation field coils for separate and shunt excitation remain continuously energized.
5. For a fully enclosed motor with an hourly duty cycle or 30-minute duty cycle (S2), no voltage is applied to any windings when the load is removed.
6. The maximum safe speed is the highest speed at which the motor can operate safely from a mechanical standpoint.
